This video is about using a combination of warm and cool Red, Yellow and Blue colors to create what is known as a split primary color palette. This is one of the most versatile color combinations as it can create almost any colors.
I used Cadmium Lemon, Chrome Yellow Deep Hue, Vermilion Hue, Alizarin Crimson, Cobalt Blue and Phthalo Blue. Also used Flake White Hue for tinting some of the mixes. Several changes can be made depending upon the need of the artist. E.g. Magenta in place of Alizarin; Ultramarine in place of Cobalt Blue or Prussian Blue in place of Phthalo Blue. Idea is to keep the warm and cool versions of the three primaries.
I mentioned this in the video but mentioning it here again, finding the brightest color is not the goal in a limited palette. It must provide the desired mixes. I tend to feel that 'Split Primary' palette can do that without any difficulty.
