Bamboo stitch pattern (even number of st; 2-row repeat)
Row 1: K1, *YO, K2, pass YO st over the 2 K st. Repeat from * until last st, then K1.
Row 2: P all st
[NOTE: Pattern above is for knitting with regular needles to create a flat piece; to knit in the round with circular or double-pointed needles, omit the K1 at start and K1 at end of Row 1]

Pattern for face washcloth shown in video:
Yarn: 1 skein [2.5-3.0 oz] each of 100% cotton yarn [4-ply] in aqua and ecru colors [I used the Peaches & Cream brand of yarn; in pattern below Color A is aqua and Color B is ecru]
Needles: US size 7 [4.5 mm] knitting needles, tapestry needle [to weave in ends]
Gauge: 8 st × 6 rows in bamboo st pattern = ~1.5 in width x 1 in length
1. Cast on 64 st with Color A using long tail cast on [link to video on long tail cast on: [ Ссылка ]]
2. With Color A, do bamboo st for 12 repeats [24 rows total]; cut off Color A leaving a 4 in tail.
3. With Color B, do bamboo st for 2 repeats [4 rows total]; cut off Color B leaving a 4 in tail.
Repeat steps 2 & 3, but changing the number of repeats each time as shown below
Color A: 9 repeats [18 rows total]
Color B: 3 repeats [6 rows total]
Color A: 4 repeats [8 rows total]
Color B: 6 repeats [12 rows total]
Color A: 2 repeats [4 rows total]
Color B: 9 repeats [18 rows total]
Color A: 1 repeats [2 rows total]
Color A: 11 repeats [22 rows total]

Then do Row 1 of bamboo st with Color B, then cast off st in the purl across row.
Finished size: 11 in width x 20 in length
