We have seen some opulent yachts, but the gold-encrusted 100-foot History Supreme takes the cake. Stuart Hughes, a British supplier of high-end gadgets, took a detour from his work as an iPad alchemist to design the $4.8 billion superyacht, which is decked out in platinum and gold from bow to stern.
According to reports, History Supreme was purchased by Robert Knok and is the most expensive yacht ever sold. According to the Daily Mail, the magnificent vessel took three years to build and consumed a whopping 220,462 pounds of precious metals. Everything on the yacht was covered in gold and platinum, from the hull to the deck, eating area, rails, and anchor.
