HOW THESE SCANS WORK:
-These scans are designed to look for momentum stocks within the $1 - $20 price range.
- All stocks have a maximum float of 50m shares.
-Each window uses a different scan strategy.
-Please read the title on the top of each strategy window to see what that strategy window scans for.
Here is what each strategy window looks for:
1) Low Float Premarket Watch List - This scan looks for the most active small cap stocks in premarket. These are the stocks that will most likely be in play for the day when the market opens.
2) Yesterdays Biggest Gainers - This scan identifies the highest gaining small cap stocks from the previous day. Sometimes, a stock hitting this scan will continue the big run the following day.
3) Past Runners Over The Last 5 Days - This scan identifies small cap stocks that have made big moves during the past 5 days. Keep an eye on these as they can produce continuation breakouts.
4) Stocks Halted - This scan identifies small cap stocks that have been halted. A stock can halt for several reasons but most of the time they are halted because of volatility. When a stock halts because of volatility, there's usually something interesting going on.
5) HOD Breakout and LOD Breakdown - These scans search for small cap stocks breaking their High of Day and Low of Day price. Stocks continuing to make new highs are experiencing strong bullish momentum while stocks continuing to make new lows are experiencing strong bearish momentum.
6) Opening Range Breakouts and Breakdowns - The opening range is a technical strategy traders use to gauge the direction of a stock. This scan searches for small cap stocks breaking out or breaking down from its opening range.
7) One Minute Volume Surge - This scan searches for small cap stocks that have a sudden burst in bullish momentum. This could indicate a breakout, a reversal or some other bullish factor.
8) 5 Minute Bull Flag Watch - The bull flag pattern is a continuation pattern that often forms before a big breakout. This scan searches for possible bull flag patterns on small cap stocks.
9) Near Intraday Support/Resistance - This scan searches for small cap stocks that are near areas of support and resistance that have formed during the day.
10) Over Extended Reversal Watch - Many traders like to take the opposite direction approach. They short very over extended rising stocks looking to catch the top of a possible reversal. This scan searches for small cap stocks that have risen so high and so fast that a pullback or reversal is bound to happen soon.
-Be sure to have your audio turned on.
-When you hear the ticker called out, search for the same ticker located in one of the strategy windows.
-Look at the time on the left side of the strategy window.
-The strategy window that holds the ticker with the most recent time stamp will be alert you have recently heard.
- The Nasdaq, NYSE and ARCA exchanges do not allow me to stream these scanners in true real time for free since real time data is a paid service. Because of this, you will notice a slight delay from the time displayed in the stream compared to the actual time.
