In this video I will explain in 5 easy steps how you can write your OGSM using Jeep as an example. The first step is about writing your Objective in a a what-by-how manner. The What should make clear how your customers perceive you once your plan is delivered. The How states what you are going to do to take you from where you are now to where you want to be. In the second step you turn the aspirational statements made in your Objective into measurable Goals. What needs to be true to be able to say "most successful?" In the third step you define your strategies, giving more detail to the "How" part of your Objective. Try not to have more than 5 strategies otherwise your plan no longer fits on a page. For a marketing plan like this one for Jeep you expect to have strategies in the 5 Ps, Promotion, Price, Place, Product, Personnel. In the fourth stap, the Dashboard Measures you identify how you can measure progress in the doing. Limit your Measures to a maximum of six per strategy. The fifth step, are your Action Measures. This is about the doing. You can write your Actions in a what-by-how manner and directly connect the result you aim to achieve to what you are going to do. In OGSM Software you can split your Action Measures into Steps, so you will end up with an achievable plan.
