Threads from Instagram is a new standalone app from Instagram for messaging with close friends. The camera app takes the "close friends" function of the Instagram app and rolls it into a standalone app.

You can use the app to share pictures, videos, status updates, and text with your close friends. You can edit your close friend's list on Instagram or on the Threads app.

Thread from Instagram also allows you to choose themes, update your status automatically using your location and you can simply use it as a camera app.
