The Inspiration behind this video:

In the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 video game, Mike is not the main protagonist, as the second game is a prequel to the franchise. The story is set in November 1987, with the narrative following Jeremy Fitzgerald, who becomes the night security guard of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The game introduces the Toy Animatronics as the antagonists that Jeremy must work to keep out of his office, as opposed to the Classic Animatronics, who are withered and damaged in the prequel. This prequel game delves into the lore behind the animatronics, especially why they are only allowed to roam freely at night. The game also provides backstory for the restaurant itself and introduces new characters.

However, the first film adaptation has already made some notable deviations from its source material, such as Five Nights at Freddy's movie changing the video game by having Mike's sister still be alive rather than inhabiting the animatronic named Circus Baby. This change adds greater significance to Mike's character, as he initially takes the security job to retain custody of his sister. He also fights to keep her from sharing the same fate as their brother, setting up further potential storylines for the siblings within the franchise. However, if Five Nights at Freddy's 2 follows the path of the video games, there will be an unnecessary break in Mike's story.
