Deveining shrimps is super easy, using only the humble toothpick. This method works both for peeled and unpeeled shrimps.
I used to dislike deveining shrimps...but after doing a quick search of what that 'vein' really is, I really take the time to do it now. "The dark line that runs down the back of the shrimp isn’t really a vein. It’s an intestinal track, brown or blackish in color, and is the body waste, aka poop. It is also a filter for sand or grit. None of which you want to eat."
