Lesson on multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN-1). MEN-1 is a rare heritable disorder that predisposes affected individuals to tumours in the pituitary, parathyroid glands and the pancreas. Tumours in the pituitary, parathyroid glands and pancreas lead to characteristic symptoms including primary hyperparathyroidism, hyperprolactinemia, and hypoglycemia among many others.

Hey everyone. In this lesson you will be introduced to multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN-1), what it is, associated signs and symptoms, how to diagnose and also how to treat MEN-1. In this lesson you will also learn mnemonic devices that will aid in memorizing what MEN-1 is and what it causes.
