This brief video shows images and a 3D spin of a whole body bone scan in a patient with (in this case) multifocal degenerative changes in his spinal column. I often use such studies in addition to MRI scanning to understand what is going on in patients I see. The study can show areas of degeneration or trauma, or tumour, or infection or inflammation, or any combination of these. It's really quite sensitive in picking up pathology, although not specific enough to tell you exactly what the pathology is.
