Matt Stringer and Santiago Perez were flying their VPP Foamies all weekend long at AMA Expo 2016, putting on a show and taking some risks during the noon time demos.
Variable pitch prop set ups for indoor foamies have been around since the early 2000's, and then the Mamo VPP unit designed by Indoor Aeromusical Legend Martin Muller came to the competition scene and everything changed. In more recent years USA Pilots RJ Gritter and Devin McGrath developed new construction methods for the airplanes by making them lighter, stiffer with complex carbon structures, and adding vector thrust to the VPP unit.
