The strong currents washed a crab trap full of blue crabs onto the beach at the park this morning. It was their lucky day! Park rangers James and Steve released these tasty treats back into the water. You can see video of this when you watch the replay of Robb Stan's, Wednesday morning beach walk at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park @ [ Ссылка ].
The blue crab is a highly sought-after shellfish. Blue crabs live up and down the Atlantic Coast and in the Gulf of Mexico and are caught by both commercial and recreational fishermen. Its scientific name—Callinectes sapidus—translated from Latin means 'beautiful savory swimmer.'
