CLED Agar (Cystine-Lactose-Electrolyte-Deficient Agar) is a differential culture medium for use in isolating and enumerating bacteria from urine. It supports the growth of urinary pathogens and contaminants but prevents undue swarming of Proteus species due to its lack of electrolytes.
