Choreographer and composer Shechter sprang to fame with his widely appraised double bill Uprising/In Your Rooms, which opened in three of London’s most influential dance stages: The Place, The Southbank Centre and Sadler's Wells. For every performance the pieces were further developed and adjusted to exploit the possibilities of these respective stages. A unique, unprecedented collaboration. NDT offers a premiere with these two pieces in that for the first time Uprising/In Your Rooms will be performed by a company other than Hofesh Shechter Company. It is a longtime dream of Shechter that NDT should take on this challenge and both pieces will be accompanied by original scores composed by Shechter himself.
