There are at least three Ford 4.6 aluminum engine blocks made during the 90's and 00's. The first is the Teksid, made from 91-01. Some of the Teksid blocks were used in front wheel drive vehicles and those engine blocks do not work with rear wheel drive applications. The WAP block (Windsor Aluminum Plant) engine block was made from around 02-05. And the Nemak block was made from 05-10. The strongest of the blocks are the Teksid and the Nemak. With proper preparation those blocks have been used to make 2000+ hp.
