Titles read: "REPATRIATION OF ITALIAN PRISONERS OF WAR".
Middle East.
Several shots at a British Prisoner of War Camp where we see Italian prisoners with their bags packed, ready for repatriation. Commentator explains that over 900 officers and men are being sent back to Italy under the Exchange of Prisoners Plan, which released 129 men of British Empire Forces in return.
The prisoners arrive at Alexandria by train and queue to have their papers checked by International Red Cross Officials before boarding the 'Llandovery Castle' Red Cross Ship. Some of the prisoners are stretcher cases. The prisoners will be under the charge of (Red Cross?) nurses and orderlies until they get to Smyrna.
