Yong Tau Foo, Foong Foong Restaurant, Ampang KL
Foong Foong Restaurant had the simplest menu: drinks and Yong Tau Foo. It is considered the best spots for Yong Tau Foo in KL and popular for foodies with its clean-tasting style.
You make your order at the counter, not your table, and it is put through to the kitchen by a microphone. The restaurant is usually crowded during lunch time (they don’t open for dinner).
The name “Yong Tau Foo” actually means stuffed bean-curd in the Hakka dialect! They actually are referring to the various bean-curd-based items like bean-curd stuffed with meat, soya puffs, ladies’ fingers, chilli and brinjal, along with some deep-fried sui kow.
