In this recorded talk held at the Skirball, curators Laura Mart and Cate Thurston discuss the original Skirball exhibition, “'I’ll Have What She’s Having': The Jewish Deli," which explores how Jewish immigrants, mostly from Central and Eastern Europe, imported and adapted traditions to create a uniquely American restaurant, and was on view from April 14–September 18, 2022. Together, the exhibition co-curators share about their deli-cious research process and provide insights into what they learned through the experience of curating this exhibition.
"I'll Have What She's Having": The Jewish Deli—Skirball Curator Talk was originally presented for Skirball Members and took place on April 13, 2022.
