Danièle Thompson knows her onions, and cannot but rejoice at her lovingly castigating comedy about steady and casual relationships - and everything in between. The location is Paris, and the setting is a bright and spacious apartment, where four couples and three singles have gathered. The dinner party evolves as they tend to, but not all of them are equally festive. One of them is planning to leave his spouse, another one is unfaithful, a third suffers from a broken heart and a fourth is hiding his grief. And thus all of them - despite the fact that the average age of this gallery of characters is somewhere in the mid-forties - seem to have their hormones flowing as vividly through their blood as the expensive wines that are swigged down with the finer French meals. Karin Viard and Dany Boon head up an ensemble, which includes a number of the best names of French film.
