For Erin's Birthday weekend we rode the Erie Canalway Trail starting in Buffalo on our bicycles. We did what some call "credit card touring" - we packed light and stayed in Airbnb's and ate our meals out.
We drove to Buffalo arriving in early evening and had some dinner. The next morning we went downtown for our coffee and breakfast then rode the Riverwalk Trail north before joining up and taking the Erie Canalway Trail to Rochester. You know us - plenty of craft beer and brewery stops before Erin's bday dinner in Rochester.
The next morning we explored Rochester a bit before hitting the trail back and stopping in different small canal towns.
We are thinking of going back next year and doing more of the Empire State Trail - maybe all the way to New York City.
