Another incidence of Nikah Halala, from Uttar Pradesh, Moradabad. A woman was allegedly repeatedly raped by her brother-in-law under the pretext of Nikah Halala. She was initially given a divorce by her husband over the volume of a music system and post the divorce she was kept hostage in her in-law's house where she was repeatedly raped for 8 months. The police have registered a case against six people.
