Telefunken master 20216, rec. Berlin, November 1934.
Unknown male vocs & lutes / guitars.
It has been suggested that this is a pseudonym of another group, maybe the Metropol-Vokalisten or the Heyn-Quartett. I'm not conviced but at the moment can't rule it out, either. As with many Telefunken masters at that time, sound quality is amazing, but the quality of the master is very bad. It sounds as if while cutting a bit of wax has got stuck under the needle, and the second half of the disc is quite hissy as a result. I did my best to filter it away, but I did not want to lose audio information, so please listen with "historical ears".
An attractive tune by Herms Niel (1888-1954), who a few years later was busy composing several of the Nazis favourite marches. And no, I will not upload any of that rubbish - please don't ask!
