Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Iran will not negotiate with the US on the nuclear issue as long as sanctions remained in place.

"We will never negotiate with an enemy when under sanctions," he said.

Speaking on the second day of the UNGA gathering, Rouhani said Iran has "resisted the most merciless economic terrorism".
