We have puncturevine plants (a.k.a. goatheads), they suck. Here is how to get rid of them. There is a critter out there called the puncturevine weevil that only eats this plant. They lay their eggs inside and give birth to more of these fantastic bugs. When they are done eating all of the goathead they can find, they die off.
Things to know: One little once cup of these will do about an acre of property. They cost crazy money like $80 plus $30 for shipping. They will die off if they get three days in a row of 15 degrees or below weather. They are worth every penny if you can get them early enough in the year (June/July).
We saw a link on Facebook and they came from Oregon or California. I have tried but, I cannot find the company. After doing some research, it looks like your best bet is to contact your state or county Department of Agriculture. In Washington State, there is the Noxious Weed Control Board [ Ссылка ] I think they have them for little or no cost.
