in this video it reveals how Dez’s subconscious mind guides him and shows him the path where he must start the "Hero's Journey (book by Joseph Campell)." Change must happen when we hit rock bottom. Dez's health has been declining. He currently lives with high blood pressure, carries 80-lbs. of obesity, diabetes, and possibly heart disease. Being overweight stresses simple physical activities like jogging for just a min or even getting up from the floor without gasping for air. These are signs of death lurking around the corner. His low self esteem talks his own mindset out of ever taking action.

Fate brought Sensei Jeffrey Gallardo and Dez together and the transformation journey begins. The right environment dictates everything for the leader and student. Dez begins to realize that any goal is possible and achievable through the Blackbelt-Mindset. This mindset system provides the right skills for his life changing transformation including meditation through breath work, restorative yoga, daily jiu-jitsu movement, and physical exercise. As he begins to update his mindset, he starts to build his confidence by taking on new ways to improve his health. Sensei Jeffrey Gallardo accepted him as an apprentice because of his new found self motivation.
