Riddick “Big Daddy” Bowe on paper is the perfect boxer. Standing at 6’5” and possessing a masterful jab, a deadly overhand right for long range, a crushing uppercut for short range, and possessed the necessary strength, speed, and skill to use them. He blasted out anybody that he fought until he got the opportunity to challenge heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield in 1992. The fight would be a all out war that would push both men to their breaking points, by the time the dust had cleared Bowe would be crowned the new undisputed champion. He would successfully defend his belts twice, once against Michael Dokes and once against Jesse Ferguson before losing his belts in a rematch against Evander Holyfield.
After the fight Bowe would be in a state of limbo causing multiple controversies including refusing to face Lennox Lewis.
