Britain’s King Charles III has been crowned in a once-in-a-generation royal event inside Westminster Abbey, witnessed by hundreds of high-profile guests as well as tens of thousands of well-wishers who gathered in central London.
And as expected, anti-royal protestors have gathered in London on the day of coronation.
They carried yellow signs and posters and waved flags with different slogans, while a hashtag #notmyking appeared on social media.
More than 29,000 police officers have been deployed to London and Windsor and have made several arrests.
Charles, 74, automatically succeeded his mother Queen Elizabeth II as monarch on her death last September.
