Bus loads of punks descended on the mall, much like they did at Ford City mall this time last year. Numerous fights broke out, reports of gunshots. An armed robbery across the street, crowds of teens meandering through and blocking traffic. Chicago PD put on alert as the kids returned to the city on public transportation.
Followup: They tried doing it two more times, but the Chicago police found out in advance. They were meeting at Ford City bus stops and planning on going to Chicago Ridge. The police showed up and stopped the buses. The "gunshots" were the rioters pounding eatery trays against the tables and yelling "gun!" - the same stunt this group pulled at other malls.
