The obesity epidemic continues to be a major contributor to some of the leading causes of death, including heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and some cancers, which result in chronic costs and burdens for the US health care system.
A moderated panel will consider how treatment for obesity has evolved and what that means for patients’ well-being and health system finances. They will also discuss the historical foundation for obesity drugs not being covered in Medicare Part D and how other classes of treatments or drugs have been removed from exclusion as the science of treatment has evolved.
Please join AEI as leading physicians in obesity treatment and Medicare experts discuss the implications of coverage for obesity management in major federally funded insurance programs.
