An appetizer at supra, a main meal, or even breakfast, Imeruli khachapuri with its golden crust and melting cheese inside will blow your mind.
Ingredients for Georgian Cheese Bread (Imeruli Khachapuri)
(Makes 2 (10-inch) khachapuri and Serves 4 to 6)
For the filling:
2 pounds grated Imeruli cheese or 1/2 pound crumbled feta and 1 1/2 pounds grated low-moisture mozzarella
1 large egg, beaten
For the dough:
3 cups all-purpose flour plus more for kneading and dusting
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups plain, full-fat Greek yogurt
¼ cup canola oil
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
