TIMSS is the world's longest-running international comparative assessment of student achievement in mathematics and science. TIMSS 2019 was the seventh cycle of TIMSS, and gathered data from nearly 600,000 fourth and eighth grade students in 64 countries around the world.
In this presentation, Executive Directors Dr Michael Martin and Dr Ina Mullis share insight into the environmental issues touched on in the TIMSS 2019 assessment with a specific emphasis on TIMSS 2019 items that relate to human activities that can harm or benefit the environment.
