Walk with me through Chipping Campden as I continue to visit the best Cotswolds Villages and Towns. Chipping Campden is one of the prettiest towns in The Cotswolds and I'll walk you along the famous high street and show you all the landmarks and tourist attractions like the tudor Market Hall, the Almshouses, this historic eight bells inn and lots more!

Welcome to this Gimbal Walk TV tour of the best Cotswolds Villages and Towns and today we visit the picturesque and very pretty Chipping Campden. This market town used to be a centre of trade for wool and throughout the High Street and beyond are the results of the wealth that brought to this beautiful Cotswolds Town.

You can't visit The Cotswolds without visiting Chipping Campden for a day trip or a walk around the town. Marvel at the beautiful high street, the medieval buildings, the historic inns and pubs, and the cute little shops that makes shopping in Chipping Campden a delight.

Stop off in one of the lovely little tea rooms for afternoon tea in the sunshine, pop into the art and antiques shops and find the little yards and lanes off High Street and explore them to your hearts content.

Our Chipping Campden tour begins on Church Street at St James Church, right next door to the entrance to East Banqueting House and West Banqueting House, a landmark trust site.

Also here is the Court Barn Museum which is well worth a visit and a look around to learn the Chipping Campden history before stepping back out onto Church Street to admire the almshouses which are one of the most visited Cotswolds Tourist Attractions.

We head up onto Chipping Campden High Street which is a beautiful street just flooded with history and medieval homes and buildings. One of these is Grevel House, thought to be the original home of the famous 14th century wool merchant William Grevel.

The star of the show is Chipping Campden Market Hall, one of the most photographed landmarks and visitor attractions in the whole of the Cotswolds. This magnificent market hall is just beautiful and is often found to be busy with tourists taking photos, or wandering round for a look.

Also on high street is the Lygon Arms. The Lygon Arms is the oldest Coaching Inn in Chipping Campden with trading records dating back to the 16th Century. Originally called the "White Hart" derived from Richard II's heraldic symbol. The name was changed to "The George" during the reign of James I (1603-1625). The Inn is proud to continue providing traditional country style 4-star accommodation.

Further along High Street is Woolmarket House bed and breakfast. Parts of the building date back over 300 years and the property has rich history of serving the local community and welcoming visitors having formally been a Lyons Tea Room, grocers and antique shop.

As you can see lots of Cotswolds Hotels and Bed and Breakfasts and Inns if you're looking to stay in the Cotswolds and in particular in Chipping Campden!
