Last year I paid quite a bit for a few Black-eyed Susan vine seeds so I decided to save my own this season. Most flowers on Black-eyed Susan vines (Thunbergia alata) are not fertilized, so you really have to know what you are looking for as the fertilized pods are tricky to spot & they ripen and scatter their seed quickly...which is probably why these seeds are so expensive compared to most other annual seeds. In this video, I'll show you what to look for so that you can save your own Black-eyed Susan vine seeds for next year and save a few dollars 😃
Happy gardening!

Where do I garden?? In Southern Ontario, zone 5b! And because zones don’t always tell the full story, my last frost date is May 10th & first frost date is Oct. 3rd.
