Have you ever wondered why the Census Bureau exists or why an accurate population count really matters? Social & Civic Innovator Mara Abrams dives into the importance of her work at the U.S Census Bureau and explores why you can be just as important as your vote. Mara Abrams is the Founder and Co-Director of the Census Open Innovation Labs at the U.S. Census Bureau. Prior to joining the federal government, Mara led Global Partnerships at the Nike Foundation, founded Cuba’s first startup incubator, and was a strategist for the Jaguar Land Rover Innovation Lab. Abrams also co-founded an award-winning organization that taught digital journalism and filmmaking to young people in marginalized and war-torn communities. With deep expertise at the intersection of impact, innovation, and partnerships, Abrams is creating a meaningful impact on people’s lives through data. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
