The world-famous choreographer Boris Eifman is one of the most distinguished figures in contemporary theater. Ever since his first productions, Eifman has always provoked a stormy reaction from audiences and piqued the interest of critics. He was awarded Benois de la Danse prize as the Best Choreographer of 2005 for the ballet Anna Karenina which searches for an answer to the question what is more important: to preserve an illusion of harmony between accepted duties and emotions, or to yield to true passions?
