The Thermarest Vesper Down Quilt is Thermarest's first well executed ultralight quilt. It’s a major entrance into the quilt market by a major manufacturer and may open quilts up to a lot of people who wouldn’t have otherwise tried them. In this video, I take a look at the specs and features of the Vesper 20 F quilt and give my opinion on how the quilt stacks up after having used it for multiple nights on the trail.

Note: I have a version of the quilt that includes Thermarest’s ‘Thermacapture’ technology. This feature isn’t included in quilts manufactured after December of 2018. Thermarest removed thermacapture as it was adding unnecessary travel and production. Instead, they added a bit more down to the quilts; as a result, the quilts are ~5-10g heavier. This change in manufacturing is why the quilt isn’t widely available in spring of 2019.
