sovra i nemici estinti
apra d'onor la strada,
e Troia perirà.
Il fato di quel regno
sol pende dal mio sdegno;
per me «Qui fu già Troia»
il pellegrin dirà.
TRANSLATION:
For all Greeks, this sword
shall open the path to glory
over the bodies of our enemies
and Troy will fall.
The fate of that kingdom
depends on my own rage,
for me the itinerant historian
will speak if what was Troy.
