An insightful and moving portrait of #LeeMoses, the gifted deep soul singer, and songwriter who was long forgotten by his hometown, Atlanta. Although he made just one LP and recorded about 30 songs in total, most of the covers, he would become a legend among deep soul record collectors and music fans and is often compared to James Brown and Jimi Hendrix. His one and only album, #TimeandPlace, was recorded in New York and released in 1971; when it met with commercial failure, Moses returned to his hometown, never to record again. So what happened to the man who was dubbed “the Duke of Soul”? This film is a cinematic portrait of the life and death of a man who was a good friend, a brother, and a singular talent and top-notch musician.
