Ashya King, whose parents sparked a Europe-wide manhunt when they took him out of the UK to seek cancer treatment abroad, has returned to the Czech capital for a check on his progress.
He is said to be doing well and doctors at the Proton Therapy Centre in Prague are keen to see their young patient one year on.
The centre's director Iva Tatounova told Sky News: "We like to keep in touch with all our former patients and make sure they are making a good recovery.
"But clearly Ashya's case made such an impact on all of us here and around the world, we can't wait to see how he is getting on."
She said the centre had seen increased interest not only from patients - Britons now make up the largest proportion of patients at the centre after Czechs and Slovaks -
