Pigeon Pea (Toor Dal / തുവരപ്പരിപ്പ്) - ¾ Cup
Turmeric Powder (മഞ്ഞള്പൊടി) - ½ + ½ Teaspoon
Salt (ഉപ്പ്) - 1+1 Teaspoon
Water (വെള്ളം) - 4 Cups (1 Litre)
Tamarind (പുളി) - Gooseberry (നെല്ലിക്ക) sized ball
Hot Water (ചൂടുവെള്ളം) - ¾ Cup (185 ml)
Cooking Oil (എണ്ണ) - 2+2 Tablespoons
Shallots (ചെറിയ ഉള്ളി) - 2 Cups (250 gm)
Green Chilli (പച്ചമുളക്) - 2 Nos
Curry Leaves (കറിവേപ്പില) - 2+2 Sprigs
Tomato (തക്കാളി) - 1 No
Coriander Powder (മല്ലിപ്പൊടി) - 1½ Tablespoon
Chilli Powder (മുളകുപൊടി) - ½ Tablespoon
Asafoetida Powder (കായപ്പൊടി) - 1 Teaspoon
Coriander Leaves (മല്ലിയില)
Fenugreek Seeds (ഉലുവ) - ¼ Teaspoon
Mustard Seeds (കടുക്) - ¼ Teaspoon
Dry Red Chillies (ഉണക്കമുളക്) - 2 Nos
