The Polestar 2 gets refreshed for the 2024 model year with some pretty significant changes. Volvo's performance EV division extracts more efficiency and performance, lowers carbon emissions, and goes rear-biased for an all-around better experience. The single motor Polestar 2 is now rear-wheel-drive (RWD) instead of front-wheel, and it gets a bigger 82 kWh battery for faster charging (34 minutes 10-80%) and 320 miles of range. The dual motor version is now rear-biased all-wheel-drive (AWD) and charges 10-80% in 28 minutes on a DC fast charger and about 8 hours 0-100% on a level II. The performance pack squeezes out 455-hp and 546 lb-ft of torque and 247 miles of range. How does this performance EV compare to something like an IONIQ6? Let's go ahead and take a look.
