Time for some Shanghai Style Fried Dumplings. Even though I prefer to eat street dumplings, the smell coming from Yangs Fried Dumpling lured me to this popular dumpling restaurant chain. There are different styles and fillings to choose from. I went with a combination plate which had Shrimp Dumpling, Vegetable Dumpling, and Pork Dumpling. Pronounced Sheng Jian Bao, these traditional pan fried dumplings paired well with a light coating of vinegar. It was very hot and humid outside but I couldn't resist a bowl of the Wonton Noodle Soup which again, would be better coming from a non-chain restaurant but it still hit the spot. After lunch I tried to cool off with a cold tea at HappyLemon but instead, my curiosity had me buying a Salted Cheese Black Tea. The name says it all! It's cold brewed black tea topped off with a thick, salty cheese topping. By the way, yes it did smell like cat food and was not something I would try again. Be sure to not drink it through a straw, that way you experience both flavor combinations at the same time.
