ShanghaiEye talks exclusively to Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee in St. Petersberg ahead of President Putin's visit to China on May 16-17, his first overseas trip in the new 6-year term.
Markelov discusses the strategic and mutually beneficial energy cooperation between Russia and China and introduces the new Power Siberia 2 gas pipeline which will run 6,700 km across Russia, Mongolia and China. He also shared with us his unique feelings towards Shanghai among his many visits to China.
