How to succeed from the first job interview to the second in Norway? Complicated, but here is a great tutorial. This is an educational and entertaining video. We cover everything from dress code to how you should interact and communicate, what kind of topics you should talk about, how you should prepare for the interview, inside tips and advices and we will explain the main purpose of the first meeting in the end of the video. We will also describe the big NO, NOs - invisible, cultural rules you must know about before your first encounter. As a foreigner, it´s easy to make mistakes. If you follow the advices, we can almost guarantee they will call you back for a second time.
The job situation is illustrated and dramatized through a couple of play mice, a paper doll, a small hipster figure and candy. They represent a real-life job interview. They play the HR leader Berit, Head of technical department Lars and Oda, a project assistant. Rob is summoned to a job interview as an IT employee. He makes all the mistakes, but with some guidance he pulls it off in the end. He is played by to different characters. Ronald tries to explain the different norms, Mads complains and think it’s too complicated in the beginning, but get the facts straight in the end. You will too.
In addition to the do´s and don’ts, you will learn a lot about the Norwegian mentality, culture, job ethics and how we cope with work life balance.
