A few days ago Steinberg released Cubase 10, most of you know I have been working with cubase from early on, SX3, which is about 10 years ago. But all the way back then you had to rely on Logic as well for their renown clip distortion. I experimented with logic for a very short while but Cubase has such a great workflow for me that I continued on to use both, Cubase to produce in, logic to create kicks with. Until a couple of days ago because now Cubase 10 features an all new VST called Distroyer and I had the honour of testing this plugin for them. Within 2 hours I had already created an impressive kick that you will hear soon in one of the projects of my new album. They came right in time with this since it was already way too long since I gave you guys a free kick tutorial. I have one scheduled now for the 23th of december. Even though Cubase now offers a full package which covers everything to create your own masterpiece I understand that for you starting producers it still is a big investment so this is why I am so happy to be able to give away a full license of Cubase 10 to the winner of the kickcontest next week.
