This video looks at why buying and holding individual stocks in your portfolio could be bad in the long term, especially because companies are not lasting as long as they used to. Also, the S&P 500 has changed so much in the last 20 years that it is not recognisable, and choosing the winning stocks is really difficult. The solution is to be very careful and also make use of index funds to protect yourself and diversify!
