This very playful sea lion frolics with a diver like a puppy of the ocean. 61-year-old retiree and sea life enthusiast, Michael Aery, was filming a group of Californian sea lions when a more inquisitive and confident pup approached him whilst off the coast of Isla Espiritu Santo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Having interreacted with sea lions many times in the past, Michael knew there was a good chance the mischievous pup would attempt to steal his camera, so offered his hand as a distraction. What ensued was an adorable dog-like playtime between the pair. Michael said: “I’ve been diving and shooting underwater videos for a little over five years and have logged over 700 dives in that time “This particular dive was rather shallow, no deeper than nine metres. “I don't encounter sea lions as often as I'd like. The interaction made me feel like I have a special connection with wild animals.
