Plano Fire-Rescue opened the doors of its new $15 million Fire Training Center to the community on October 3, 2022. The facility was approved by Plano voters in a 2017 bond election. The high-tech facility allows Plano Fire-Rescue to mimic real emergencies and rescue operations in building types found in the city. PFR team members will be able to practice a variety of fire situations, including kitchen and home fires, collapsed structures, office fires and more.
