US President Joe Biden offered his condolences on Sunday to those affected by the earthquake that struck Morocco.
Biden, who is on a two-day visit to Vietnam, said his administration was working with Moroccan officials to ensure American citizens in Morocco are safe and was "standing ready to provide any necessary assistance to the Moroccan people".
The United Nations estimated that 300,000 people were affected by Friday night's 6.8-magnitude quake. Some Moroccans have complained on social media that the government wasn’t allowing more help from outside.
