Undercover Precinct One deputies arrested a married father of two from League City after an online sting in which he attempted to meet for sex with what he thought was a 15 year old girl.
Adam Wellborn Hollyfield, 37, is to be charged with online solicitation of a minor. Deputies say they had been chatting on social media with Hollyfield for over a week. During the course of the chats Hollyfield expressed interest in engaging in explicit sexual acts with the person he believed was a teen. Deputies say he even sent them explicit photos of himself.
Hollyfield is a married, father of two young children. One of his children has special needs. Deputies found two car seats in the back seat of the vehicle which he drove to what he thought was going to be a rendezvous with the teenage girl.
Online solicitation of a minor, is a second degree felony, punishable by 2-20 years in prison if convicted.
Deputies named this initiative “Operation Adam & Eve” because Hollyfield initially told them in chats that his name was Adam.
“Precinct One takes great pride in arresting those attempting to prey on our children,” said Constable Alan Rosen. “Such crimes will not be tolerated.”
Attached you will find a mug shot of Hollyfield. Precinct One has posted to our social media pages a short video of him being taken into custody.
